Marc established Horizon Landscapes in 1995 and has over 20 years of experience within the landscape gardening industry. He studied at Writtle College and is Level 2 Health and Safety awarded and first aid certified.
Company Secretary and PA
Hayley is responsible for the accounts and administration of the business having 15 years previous experience in secretarial, administration and management roles.
Troy joined the company in 2010 and has 7 years experience in Horticulture. He has undertaken his PA1 and PA6 spraying qualifications and is trailer towing certified. He has also attended various fruit tree pruning, disease identification and turf management courses at Writtle College. In addition Troy has passed his Level 2 Health and Safety in the Workplace exam. CSCS card qualified.
In June 2017 Troy graduated with a 2:1 Foundation Degree in Landscape and Garden Design from Otley College. Promoted to Operations Manager in March 2015.
Senior Team Lead Landscape Gardener
Steve joined the team in October 2014. He previously had over 5 years experience in the landscape industry through the maintenance of a private estate where he was able to develop both hard and soft landscaping skills. In addition Steve is a company first aider having completed his Emergency First Aid at Work course and is trailer towing certified. CSCS card qualified. Promoted to Senior Landscape Gardener in November 2015, Team Lead in April 2017 and Senior Team Lead in April 2018.
Senior Soft Landscape Gardener and Plant Specialist
Mike has worked within the company over a period of 17 years incorporating 5 years working in the New Zealand landscaping industry. His main speciality is working with plants and soft landscape design.
He has completed a DipHD Horticulture Diploma in Higher Education and BSc (HONS) in Landscape and Garden Design in 2002/2003 at Otley College.
Senior Landscape Gardener
Andy joined the team in March 2014 bringing with him over 30 years experience in gardening. This includes 18 years working for London Parks Department involving nursery and growing works and over a decade of commercial maintenance experience. He has a City and Guilds qualification in Horticulture along with PA1 and PA6 spraying certificates. In addition Andy is a company first aider having completed his Emergency First Aid at Work course. Promoted to Senior Landscape Gardener in November 2015.
Landscape Gardener and Project Team Lead
Tav joined the team in September 2014. He has a keen interest in the project side of the business and has become a key member of the team. Trailer towing and first aid certified. CSCS card qualified. Promoted to Senior Landscape Gardener in April 2017 and Team Lead in April 2018.
Jamie joined the team in November 2015. He has been working in garden maintenance since March 2015 and is gaining all round experience in a variety of horticultural areas. He is aiming to further his knowledge during the coming months. CSCS card qualified.
Landscape Gardener and Team Lead Plantsman
Dom joined the team in November 2015. Awarded an Apprenticeship Level 3 Diploma in Work Based Horticulture – Landscaping at Otley College in May 2017. He has completed a Lantra Certificate of training in Chainsaw Maintenance and Cross Cutting. Completed his Emergency First Aid at Work course in November 2017 as well as Level 1 Health and Safety in a Construction Environment. He has undertaken his PA1 and PA6 spraying qualifications and is CSCS card qualified. Promoted to Team Lead in April 2018. Dom enjoys all aspects of horticulture and in his spare time propagates plants and visits RHS gardens to help him learn.
Les joined the team in May 2016. He has over 30 years experience in the landscaping industry during which he has completed a Horticultural Skills Test and National Certificate in Horticulture at Otley College as well as various courses in pesticide management. Les is a very experienced machinery operative.
Nathan joined the team in December 2016. He is enjoying learning new skills and increasing his landscaping gardening experience.
Tony started working with us in June 2017. He has experience in general garden maintenance along with green keeping, tree cutting, groundworks, fencing and pond construction. He is CSCS health and safety awareness trained, first aid trained and has a fork lift licence.
